MRM For Small Organisation
Marketing Automation is the need of the hour but for small organisation thinking of MRM/MOM/EMM solution is completely a dream in todays’ world. The entire MOM/MRM domain have been their for almost a decade and has matured lot since its inception. Considering this the benefit of the such solution should not be dream for small organisation. As we are reaching the maturity of MRM/MOM expect smal organisation to leverage the SaaS (Software as a Service) model for such solution.
Consider Salesforce a great SaaS model in CRM, where a organisation doesn’t need to go through a the long sales cycle before started availing the benefits of CRM. Similarly we need such amount of configurability, simplicity in MRM/MOM space.
The MRM/MOM SaaS Vision
The following is what I expect in the SaaS model
- Prospect should be able to create an account without no charge.
- This account should have certain limitation such as
- Number of Days
- Number of Marketing Plan, Campaigns etc.
- The prospect should be able to exercise all the features of MRM/MOM with no constraint.
- The prospect should also be provided with limited support.
- The platform should support branding required by the prospect.
- The branding can be limited certain attributes
- Logo
- Font
- Color etc-etc
- The model should also have online training.
- Once the trial period is over and if the prospect is becoming customer, it should be possible to retain the data created during the trial version.
Though the above list is small but if vendors can support such infrastructure it bring lot of benefits to entire world of marketers.
Though vendors like Aprimo, Unica, Assetlink provides such capability but to reach to the maturity is still a distant dream for them.
